Communication and Remote Services
With today's wave of technology, alarm systems are moving away from the standard telephone line monitoring. The P.O.T.S. (plain old telephone line service) network grid is getting weaker and less reliable through time. Many people choose to no longer utilize a landline house phone. VOIP (voice over internet protocol) is how phone lines are now configured. This technology does not play well with alarm communicators and poses unreliable performance with outages due to power loss or cable service provider's temporary drop of service.

Cellular radio communicators will provide a more secure, faster path of communication to the monitoring center. Most of our area has good cellular coverage and a strong network. We will test the site before installation. The radio is installed within your premise, and therefore, not suspect to tampering like a phone service cable outside. The radio is supervised and will send in test signals to confirm path of communication.
Also available through cellular radio or with some IP communicators is Total Connect remote service.
This service, once enabled, will give you remote control of your alarm system from anywhere you login though the Total Connect app or web service. Remote arm/disarm is available along with notifications sent to your phone when system is armed/disarmed, has a trouble condition or an actual alarm. It provides greater flexibility and control of your security system.
